Back into Hobbying

I'm back! I've had some very large life events happen over the last 9 months. Left Australia and moved back to the UK but not before spending a few months in Canada with my Brother. I'm now getting my life back in order, next is getting a job in London and moving up there. 

Until then, it's hobby time!

Preparing For My First Horus Heresy Game

So this weekend see's my gaming club, the Queensland Gamer's Guild, December meet up. I'm due to play my first Heresy game against Corbulo and his Mechanicum, from the Heresy 30K forums.

As regular readers may be aware, although I've completed several units of Emperor's Children, I'm still not close to having a functioning army. My Slaanesh Daemons will be filling out the gaps.

30K: Building My Emperor's Children - Part Four Fast Attack

It's been a while since my last instalment of this series. I've been focussing a lot on painting my first 1,000 points so I can get some Heresy gaming done, and organising the Heresy narrative coming at the end of this month.

 I'm going to make good use of the Fast Attack slot, as it has some great units for my play style. here is the list of options you get in the Fast Attack slot.

EC: Veteran Tactical Squad #1

I've been working on converting a 40K Space Marine Tactical squad into a 30K Veteran Tactical squad. It's a lot more time consuming than I imagined!

After cleaning up all the parts I then proceeded to cut the knee caps off to green stuff some MKIV knees.

EC: Primus Medicae Finished

Well, almost! I still have to do the power weapons. As you can see from the pictures I ended up magnetising the arms from just above the elbow, this enables me to play with both Power Sword and Power Axe, and eventually when I can get hold of some more, a Phoenix Power Spear!

Here are the pictures, try and ignore the power weapon.

EC: Primus Medicae

So work on my Primus Medicae is progressing nicely. I have a lot more paint on the model now, but didn't take any photo's this morning.

I did assemble it pre-Greenstuff and take a photo of the potential end pose.
